Carlo Mingotti’s project for the new headquarters of Danieli Automation expresses the vocation of Industry 4.0, which initiated a digitization project that improves the efficiency of the steel industry’s production processes while reducing their environmental impact.
The building has an interior space that can accommodate up to 250 people, organized in an essential open space. As it is a shared working environment, it was needed to design and implement tailor-made solutions for the interior furnishings.
They were able to develop the advanced ergonomics concept. The person is the centre, the workplace adapts to them in terms of height, following their habits, health needs, ways of working and living.
Up&Up operative desks are electrically height-adjustable, allowing any millimetric height adjustment and enabling people to work even while standing, relaxing the spine. Personal belongings are stored in special lockers and placed within easy reach.
With this project Danieli Automation wanted to go beyond the concept of ergonomics, proposing a real new concept of working. A concept that aims to improve the quality of life of those who work.
